.... mmm.... the image on a post(one for all) seems to be a copyright violation! The post is this... look at the image link/source...!

Wow; good catch! They're hotlinking to the thumbnail icon. Maybe this was left over from the proofing stage and they never got around to inserting the legit photo (giving them the benefit of the doubt).

It is OK at http://shine.yahoo.com/blog/aLb9Ig7CQVd.5xn.NtVK6KpLg4CxW/ (sorry - can't link it properly) so it's probably just an oversight.

That's strange - when I look at http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/health/reasons-to-love-flaxseed-213027/ and hover my cursor over the flax seed image it points back to the iStockphoto page as previossly mentioned - but when I look at the same image on this page http://shine.yahoo.com/blog/aLb9Ig7CQVd.5xn.NtVK6KpLg4CxW/ (about halfway down) it doesn't. Am I looking at something different, I wonder?

If you read the source code, like piccerella first noted, it is a hotlink in both cases. The actual image itself I mean. The thumnail is linked using a javascript so it's not so obvious, but still, it does not reside on the Shine.yahoo.com server. It was a mistake on their part to let the other one click through to istock.

Thumnails are not watermarked, so conceivably they could have even just copied the image and put it on their site at that size, and nobody would think twice. In this case it's pretty obvious they did not buy it. Just goes to show that even the thumbnail size is usable and pirateable.

Ah yes, I see what you mean - if you 'copy image location' it's different.
AND it's been syndicated with the article.
